Our Story

Let's go all the way back to middle school shall we? We both went to the same middle and high school. 
One day, at the Westmount Starbucks in 2017, Joey asked Jess on a date to Aroma. It was a wonderful date, but Jess was off to a different city for University than Joey, so things stopped there.

Fast forward to the Pandemic, Jess posted on her story something sappy like, "These are troubling times! Message me one word that reminds you of me, and we can chat!". Because Jess is so popular, she got exactly ONE response and it was from THE Joey Florence. He wrote the word "Aroma". 

From there, we never stopped chatting. 

Even when we were younger, there was always this strange pull toward each other, even though we weren’t technically friends or together. We often say that it feels like we’ve been together before, and somehow, in this life, we were always destined to find our way back to each other.

We are adventurous and curious, each other’s biggest fans, and we constantly push one another to reach our goals and become the best versions of ourselves. We bring out each other’s inner children, and we’re also each other’s greatest support system. We are there when it’s time to be silly, and there when it’s time to be serious.

In many ways, we each bring something into the other’s life that was missing. Joey brings Jess a zest for life, a sense of adventure, and the confidence to believe in herself. Jess brings Joey stability, confidence in his own skills and decisions, and a sense of peace and belonging.

We’ve both unlocked doors for each other that we once thought were locked forever. Somehow, we each had the key.

Now, we’re ready to celebrate not only our love, but our partnership, our journey, and the incredible feeling that we found each other in this life.
